Konferencesalen var fyldt til sidste stol, flere hundrede deltagere og en k\u00f8nsbalance, hvor det var sv\u00e6rt at afg\u00f8re, hvilket k\u00f8n der var m\u00f8dt mest talst\u00e6rkt op. De udvalgte virksomheder har mindst 130 medarbejdere og 500 millioner kr. i \u00e5rlig oms\u00e6tning. Den overbevisende diversitets-businesscase, som tidligere er blevet analyseret og fremlagt p\u00e5 basis af internationale virksomheders data, har nu f\u00e5et en tilsvarende dansk version. Ved at rangordne alle store og mellemstore danske virksomheder efter, hvor mangfoldige deres ledelser er efter fire mangfoldighedskriterier; k\u00f8n, etnicitet, aldersspredning og anciennitet, kan vi se, at de, som har den mest mangfoldige ledelse, ogs\u00e5 tjener mest. Hvis man sammenligner virksomheder indenfor samme sektor tjener de mest mangfoldige virksomheder i gennemsnit 5,7 procentpoint mere end deres konkurrenter. Ledelsen som gruppe arbejder mere innovativt, tr\u00e6ffer bedre beslutninger og er mere produktiv, hvis den er mangfoldigt sammensat. Og det er ikke underligt, da en ledelse der er i stand til at sammens\u00e6tte og lede mangfoldige teams f\u00e5r bel\u00f8nning hele vejen rundt; fra ansatte til kunder og fra produkt til service. Der er lavere sygefrav\u00e6r og medarbejderoms\u00e6tning samt h\u00f8jere produktivitet. Research peger p\u00e5, at mangfoldigt sammensatte ledelser skaber en mere kundeorienteret organisation samt markant h\u00f8jere innovation i organisationen. Derudover skaber mangfoldighed \u2013 is\u00e6r p\u00e5 k\u00f8n \u2013 bedre ideer, flere perspektiver og bedre indsigt i markedet. Det betyder igen, at m\u00e5lgruppen serviceres bedre. De fleste topledere er stadig over 50 \u00e5r, men kvinderne er dog lidt yngre end m\u00e6ndene, og s\u00e5 er der selvf\u00f8lgelig store brancheforskelle. Medicinal-, tekstil-, og konsulentvirksomhederne er f.eks. v\u00e6sentligt mere mangfoldige end bygge- og anl\u00e6gsvirksomhederne samt finans- og bilbranchen. Opstil nogle klare m\u00e5ltal og succeskriterier, s\u00e6t \u00f8konomi p\u00e5 v\u00e6rdien og husk at kommunikere de gode eksempler og historier. Og endelig kan det ikke understreges nok, at topledelsens opbakning er et must, og ikke bare som et politisk korrekt initiativ, men som Group CEO i ISS Jeff Gravenhorst fremh\u00e6vede det; man skal ikke arbejde med diversity for at kunne krydse det af p\u00e5 to-do listen. Meget af det har de betydelig succes med, men han fortalte ogs\u00e5 \u00e6rligt, hvordan latteren havde bredt sig, f\u00f8rst i salen og siden ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 scenen, til en toplederkonference, da syv mandlige executives, alle fra Danmark, alle omkring de 50 \u00e5r, sad p\u00e5 scenen p\u00e5 rad og r\u00e6kke alle i deres lysebl\u00e5 skjorter, efter at de netop havde haft en formiddag med \u00f8get mangfoldighed p\u00e5 ledelsesniveauerne p\u00e5 agendaen.
